May 22nd After a 4 week delay we should start excavation and install on our Summit 35. Leisure pools would not deliver. Quality control found a "defect" and would not deliver. I see very few posts on fiberglass level tolerances. Any one have any any thoughts on what I should look for as PB moves forward? Level, equipment install settling? Going with a cool deck layer on pool deck any one have any advice on keeping it clean? Concrete installer will not form and install for 28 days after backfill and mentionined settling. How soon can we swim after equipment is running?

A level pool is certainly at the top of the list. A good base and backfill, preferably with course gravel or some sort, seems t work best as opposed to just sand. If you have any specific details about the pool or supporting equipment as noted in your quote, feel free to share and we can evelaute everything for you.

As soon as the water is properly balance, right away. :swim:

We can't overemphasize the important of a proper test kit. You should have either a TF-100 or Taylor K-2006C test kit. I recommend the TF-100, link in my signature. Also keep very good notes about any chemicals they add to the pool once it's filled and the system operational. You will refer back to those notes when you have to move-forward and add your own chemicals later. I don't want to get too far ahead of everything since this is a construction thread. Jus remember to have one of those test kits and we can help with that later.

Yes and no. The TFpro salt bundles the salt kit for $20 more. Or you can buy the same k1766 on the side for $30 to go along with the Taylor k2006C.

I had been around oodles of construction jobs, with and without pools and I knew *exactly* what to expect. Something about seeing the 3rd dimension of my yard which I was never meant to see still got me though.

Then we moved and I expected it again and it STILL took my breath away, all slow motion like.......

Around construction sites all day. Still amazes me how dirt from a small area becomes this huuuuge pile. Almost like packing peanuts or styrofoam never going back the right same way in the package.

Have a favor to ask seeing how there will be lots of progress pics to upload. :)

Attach the files however you did it. Then press 'insert' and then 'full image' so they post to the thread. Otherwise they are grainy attachments below the post. THANKS.

And get pics. Get 1000 pics from every angle. 10 years from now when you're planting a bush, you'll know where to dig cautiously. Or if there is ever a leak/break. Sometimes my trusty shovel was the marker on the measuring tape, sometimes it *was* the measuring tape.
