New construction in Houston, Tx ** Trying to complete punch list**

We are still waiting for a dig date, that is the hole from me relocating crepe myrtle trees that we had in the middle of the back yard. It was a huge ordeal and by the time we got them moved I decided I would just leave the hole since we will have a much larger hole there pretty soon.

Ahh, hopefully you get a dig date soon. We got pushed back 1st time due to COVID hitting gunite crew, one of largest is Houston, then due to rains this weekend.

Still waiting for the dig date, PB says the soonest he can get us in will be the 24th and gunite on the 27th. We did pick tile a week or two ago, here is what we are going with. These are also pics of the outside of our fire pit and outdoor kitchen, they will be along one side of the pool. I am going to install a 75" TV on the back of the grill for watching football and maybe movie nights.

Wow, it is taking them a while to get started.

I'm just north of Austin, and chose a very large PB in Texas (you can probably guess who it is) ... they've really been great.

Here is the timeline ours has taken thus far:

Hi! just saw you over on my post! looking at your tiles and your kitchen and all the different finishes. I think if you had an accent tile / spa tile that matches the glass in the firepit would look AWESOME! such a pretty color.

Here is the list from the PB, what do y'all think? I changed the heater to the Pentair because of the smaller footprint because we only have 5ft on the side where the equipment will be going. Also, I was thinking that the bubbler was supposed to have it's own pump, will the one pump be enough for the spa/waterfall and an additional bubbler on the tanning ledge or should I make him add another?

Hayward Tristar Variable Speed filter pump – VS950 2.7HP 230V

Hayward Cartridge filter – C3030 325SQF SWIMCLEAR

PENTAIR GAS HEATER – 400k MasterTemp, Nat gas, 460775

Hayward Spa air blower – SPB152 – 1.5HP 230V

Hayward ColorLogic pool light – 4.0 LED 120V, W3SP0527SLED100

Hayward ColorLogic spa light – 4.0 LED 120V, WSP0535LED100

You will enjoy the Wet Edge pebble. Ensure you file the warranty - the plaster company should give you the info to do it.
We have had it for 2 years now and thoroughly enjoy the color (Blue Pacific) and the smoothness.

Pacific was one of the choices that we were considering when we narrowed it down to the top 3. It was very tempting to go with one of the darker colors but we were warned about the heat and the lighting not looking as good with dark plaster.

We decided on the Wet Edge Luna Quartz in Bermuda color for the plaster, I think it will look good and hopefully not cause the pool to heat up as much as I hear the darker colors doView attachment 158094

We have the Primera Stone Sapphire Treasure. It’s similar color. Water temps will hit 95 no problem. We got a Glacier Chiller a few years ago to take care of this. My water sitting at 84 now.

I am leaving enough room to add a chiller if we end up needing one, but we want to wait and see if we really feel like the pool gets too warm for use before adding the expense to the initial build. I am hoping that we will be able to keep the water temp down with shade enough to not need it

does this equipment list look ok?
I don't see any concerns. Since you plan on having some Hayward and Pentair items on the pad, just check to make sure everything is compatible if you ever decide to go with automation later. That's about all I can see.

That is starting to be something I am wondering about honestly. I didnt want any automation and now my wife says that if we are paying that much for lights she should be able to use her phone for controls and do light shows etc. But from what i understand it is all or nothing, we can't have just a light controller from what i have seen.

I don’t find the pacific blue too dark. See picture taken this morning
