New Build in The Woodlands TX - Update: Landscaping!

Were the toe tiles installed before plaster by the crew who were installing coping and waterline tiles? or if they must be installed the day of plaster job.

Were the toe tiles installed before plaster by the crew who were installing coping and waterline tiles? or if they must be installed the day of plaster job. I am asking since I am wondering how to make sure the toe tile surfaces will be level with the final plaster.
The toe tile was installed by the tile & coping crew a few days before plaster. The plaster crew ensured the tiles were level with the plaster when they did their work.

Because you have a free form pool , if you can put a tape measure (I have a wooden 4 ft ruler - not sure where I got that) and take measurements at incremental depths and note against your water meter. That provides you a good context of volume at different levels.
@HermanTX Great idea. Thank you for sharing. I found this 6' fiberglass folding ruler: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00093E03Q/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 How do you think about it? BTW, won't it be an issue if the ruler touches the plaster when measuring? I am not sure how soft would be the new plaster when filling the pool.

So long as you don't drag the sharp edges or corners along it but I would not take the chance. Just take a pic of your water meter before the fill starts and again when the water is in the middle of of the skimmer opening. We can help dial in the amount with chemicals as you adjust the water.

Can you advise what this is? Are you referring to a backflow preventer?
My pool fill line is connected to (and controlled by) my landscape irrigation system. When I want to fill the pool, I run that zone on my sprinkler controller. The line has a backflow preventer (PVB).

Can you advise what the hole is for in the column and is the center tile removable?

The center tile is removable. Underneath is a PVC drain pipe. If flower pots are placed on top of the columns, water can drain neatly through the pipe.

Nice accent. Do these serve a purpose aside from aesthetics?

Thanks. Can you please advise what plumbing methodology you chose for your return lines? I am leaning toward the Multi-Line approach.

Thanks. Is there a reason you didn't opt for a mechanical or electronic autofill?
My setup is simple, reliable, effective, easy to service/repair (if necessary), and much less expensive than an autofill. I have complete control over when the pool is filled. I'm very happy with it.

Pool returns are "Offset Loop"
In other words you have a loop encircling your pool with the returns "teeing" into the loop? Is there a particular reason you decided on this methodology? BTW, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions as I strive to learn about the pool building process and thinking that goes into it.

Yes.

The plumber built it that way and it makes sense to me. I didn't specifically tell him to do it.

If you loop a bunch of returns and one goes bad in a few years what's it gonna cost to repair it? Probably alot more than the extra pipe and a few valves, then you just ahut off a valve and run just fine with the rest of them. Same for all the other water flows
