New Build in South Louisiana

W, you are SO close to being done! At least you know you have the correct color with them dropping it off like that!

Do you have a test kit yet? If not look in my siggy for the one we use and love.

Here are some links you will need when you are starting up a pool. With the first link know your PB holds the warranty card so check with him first and see what HE wants you to do. Some PO have had good luck sharing this info and their test kits with the PB and him being happy to provide the acid and such as needed and allow the PO to do the basic pool care.

Wyatt,

When you go to add water:

-wrap a washcloth or small towel around the end of the hose and put something (plastic soda bottle) on the hose to help it float the hose end so it does not hit the bottom as it fills.

We just saw where one build we could not believe how much "stuff" the towel caught from the water.

About half way there on the fill. I really hope all the white haze by the drains brushes and evens out. Not going to make any judgements there until after startup and balancing. The exposure and evenness of color looks really good on the rest of the pool.

I'd have to put my brush in to see if it is sediment/plaster dust versus discoloration to ease my mind. No harm in giving it a few passes with the brush...may as well get familiar with that piece of equipment anyway!
