New Build - Frisco, TX

NO!!!!!!! I wondered what was going on :(

I will be patient (NOT my strong suit) and wait to see what happens.

I'm right there with you Kim.

Being patient is not part of my skill set.

Perhaps that is why D wanted to build a pool so badly.

She was ready to calm me in the soothing water of a back oasis or water board me into submission.

Thankfully our PB has made some progress this week on our patio project.

Thanks, R

We made good progress on our patio cover this week after the original structure had to be torn down due to PB miscommunication but don't have pictures to prove it because of heavy rain today.....Sorry Kim.....More pics to follow when the sun comes out....We are very happy with the rebuild so far.

In addition to progress on the patio our PB was able to get some pre-inspection electrical work done next to our original equipment pad....I wish we could get a better look at their work but here is what were able get pictures of between the rain storms.

Don't really know what we should look for on this???

Thanks, R

I am not sure what to look for either! LOL The one thought I have is the one wire going across the pad. That looks like a trip hazard.

Do I see a place for the light on the wall?

I am glad to hear things are moving on now.

What??????????? That is next week!!!!!! SWEET!

I wanted to give you your next "job" on this build. Be there when the plaster truck shows up! Make sure they have to correct color and any extras you asked for. We had one build where they put on the wrong plaster as in WAY wrong :( It had to be chipped out and redone. Of course the people that got their plaster got quite an upgrade  Then there was another one that had the wrong plaster on the truck BUT because the PO met the truck and checked........they went back and got the correct plaster.

I was in Walmart the other day looking through their pool section daydreaming that one day our pool will be finished and I have a silly question... is this a good liquid chlorine to use? I recall reading that 10% was best to use : non-scented and not the splashless kind. Or does the regular Clorox brand work too? Is one better than the other?
Thanks,
D

Not silly at all! Make sure to check the date code. It should not be older than 3 months.

Some pool stores will rent you jugs to refill.

Store brand of bleach (8.25%) works also.

Fine what is easy for you to get and is a good price.

There is a link to a easy price tool. I will look for it when I am home. I am on my phone right now.

Well I have looked and looked but cannot find it (guessing the adult drink at dinner is not helping ).

Make sure you note date stamp if buying at store. Look at strength. Look at size of jug-how many oz. Is it easy to get to when needed? One of the pool stores is a little cheaper BUT it is a "trip" to get to instead of being right down the road so not worthwhile for me to worry with.

Howdy fellow Frisco neighbor! We just filled ours on Friday, seemed like it has taken forever through all this annoying cold rainy weather we've gotten lately! I think we started at a similar time as you guys. We have been having a heck of a time with our large dog and the giant mud pit that the backyard has become.
