New Build Completed!, Spring TX by PB.

I think I have this under control. Did a full test tonight. Added CYA yesterday. It was over a hundred today and the pool gets full sun. PH stayed the same and FC went down 4ppm.

Tonight's numbers

FC 5.5
PH 7.6
TA 80
CH 250
CYA 50
CSI -.05

now to maintain.

Thank you to everyone for the great advice and being a sounding board! Time to swim

I never understood why retailers in the south close out all there summer stuff in July. Finally found some umbrella's at a place called At Home (aka Garden Ridge). One rectangle and one round.

Besides placing them in the holders. Does anyone use anything to keep them from spinning? Do I need to worry about the metal in the water?

Your pool turned out great! The poles on the umbrella should be aluminum so no problem there. You can also wrap just the part of the pole that goes in to the sleeve with duct tape to decrease the wiggle room.

Beautiful pool! I use aluminum pool umbrellas in my sleeves, but they do fit a bit loose and spin around when I try to tilt them to take best advantage of the shade. One day, I came out to find that the wind had lifted a raised umbrella out of the sleeve and deposited it into the deep end. Since it was late, I didn't venture into the water to retrieve it, but I used my skimmer pole to lift it up and out. The result was a very heavy water logged umbrella that folded like a pretzel! Lesson learned!

So pretty! Great shape. Unique, functional and comfortable.

Glad I came back to look at this pool. It looks great!

I couldn't find it mentioned, what brand and color is the plaster?

its called beadcreate and was installed by Uno Plaster. Pool Plastering Houston | Uno Construction

I can't find the name but page 3 post 42 has a few of the samples. The plaster is a medium blue with a custom bead blend to get the blue color we wanted. The spa is the same base but is all glass bead and has more blue and black in it giving it a darker color look.

Our PB said this company is the best and does a lot of custom blends.

i really like how this pool is laid out wit the current house. it just fits together so nice. i really really like the spa and how it sits along with its design. just really really cool

Who's going to be first to do the long jump over the spa?

Re: Under construction, Spring TX by PB.

Beautiful pool! We live in Spring too and our PB quoted us $5,000 for 2 Pentair Magic Bowls like yours. Seems high to me - wondering how that compared to yours. Ours is a remodel but there is already water and electric where the wall will go b/c we have a waterfall that will be demoed. TIA!

That’s way to much. I had found the bowls online for about 750 and the fire fox led lights for about 350. So 1100 each. My poolbuilder found them locally for about the same price so he picked them up and I’m sure what he charged for install since it was part of the bid.
