First off, I wish I would have found this forum before we started construction. There's a wealth of information here! We got three quotes and went with the PB we felt the most comfortable with. We didn't really know what we exactly wanted in a pool when we started. Which is so unlike me -- usually I'm a researcher and planner. I think the Florida heat got to me 
We have a fairly small backyard so we weren't able to have a large pool and we didn't have the finances to do anything fancy. I am now seeing things I definitely would have done differently or perhaps questions I should have asked. We are too far in to change anything without a gigantic and expensive hassle. But, that being said, we are still excited about our pool and can't wait to start using it!
Contract was signed on March 17.
Site stripping was done April 14.
Layout was done April 16.
Excavation was done April 17.
Steel was done April 18.
Gunite was done April 24.
Plumbing was done May 1.
Tile was done May 11.

***I have a question I need your expert opinions on! What color decking should we go with? It will be concrete/acrylic. I understand the benefits of pavers but that is not in the budget right now. I have attached a picture of our waterline tile and our house is a dark grey with bright white trim. We had originally chosen a light brown/Kahlua Kreme border with a Desert Sand deck. But that was when we had a different tile picked out and I just don't know if the browns will look good with the bright blue tile and house color. Should we go with grey tones? Or keep it tan? ANY help or opinions are greatly appreciated! Our salesman is coming out mid-week so we can make the decision what to do. We are taking out the existing screens on the lanai and the color will be skim coated over whats there to, hopefully, make a seamless transition.
