Pool tile and coping finished up on yesterday. Equipment delivered on yesterday as well and noticed the filter package is lying sideways when the package states “Important ship and store upright”.
Sent a message to my builder about this but haven’t heard back. Can this cause any issues with the equipment that anyone is aware of?
Waiting for an update on when everything will be plumbed in and electrical work scheduled.

Yes I will. Thanks for the guidance. The PB says he has seen it delivered before in the same manner and has never had issues but will be sure to triple check the equipment. Hopefully there aren’t any issues as a result of how it was packaged and transported to us.
Hoping we can finish things out this month. Plumbers scheduled for tomorrow.

So an update on things, plumber still hasn’t shown up and in the past week we have been contacted by contractors that have informed us they have not been paid by our pool builder including the excavator who dug our pool late July. What do we do?
They both have asked us to not mention it just yet as the PB has promised to make good on their bounced checks on Thursday so they are holding onto hope but I am not holding my breath. They plan to update us in a few days.
I am a mess and am super stressed out now behind this pool build and these subcontractors contacting us. I feel horrible that they have performed work and not been paid and secondly that we have this big hole in our yard. Any advice would be appreciated.

No advice except to start looking for a lawyer to have in your pocket if/when needed. This is some awful news to hear and I hope, oh how I hope the PB comes through.

This is some awful news to hear and I hope, oh how I hope the PB comes through.That was my exact response when my doorbell rang yesterday and it ended up being yet another subcontractor notifying us of their payment issue. I really wish they hadn’t waited so long to contact us as we would have held back what we recently paid the PB. Lesson learned as we now plan to ask the PB for signed lien releases before releasing final payment if it ever reaches that point. We have started researching contractors in the area in case we have to figure things out personally and have a consultation with an attorney on Friday to discuss the what ifs. Yes. The pool has been completed. We had to obtain help from individual contractors that we found in the area and hired directly. Of course, we have discovered issues here and there with things and the rest we have been figuring out along the way with the help of TFP members. Thank you all again for the guidance and support!
In the midst of having to refile lawsuit paperwork against the PB though as he has mastered dodging servers and we have yet to get a signature on file as required by the court acknowledging he has formally been served. I am diligently spreading the news when I can regarding this PB as well in hopes that we can prevent someone from becoming his next victim. But nonetheless our pool is done and we will hopefully enjoy it in the months to come. It’s been a little too cold since October when we filled it so we have yet to fully swim in it.
