Hello,
The old board seems to be bad ( the thermistor is in poor shape), no light or display on. Strange, when the thermistor is bad in general, I still get power light with no voltage reading but most of them. No way to know if fuse is bad. Anyway. I just installed a new cheapo board and nothing shows up on display or lights.th 2.jpgthe.jpg

Check if you have voltage across the red and black wires connected on the upper right of the board.

Ordered the parts for the subpanel. Pump and timer work. The fuse dies right away on the new board. 240v coming out, converted to 24, removed the black and red wires, same with a new fuse. I guess it's a bad board.

That Quote is ridiculous.

The prices are way too high.

Look up the individual parts and you can find them at 1/5 to 1/10th the cost.

Find a different (honest) contractor.

I guess they give you a high price for the subpanel and tell you for $5800, they can change the main panel which is old and needs to be replaced" Live and learn.:)
Same story with plumbers, mechanics and more...

I would not put in a Square D Homeline Load Center at a pool equipment pad as I don’t think it is compatible with Siemens GFCI breakers which are the best for VS pumps to not get false trips.

Maybe @Ahultin can confirm breaker compatibility.

Get a Siemens load center and use Siemens GFCI breakers.

30 amp is too small.

Get something bigger.

I would definitely cancel the service with the company that provided the quote.

Thank you for your help. I did not contact them. New box installed with breakers. Have 50A in main. The 20A fuse on the board dies immediately when the breaker is on, even if the Aquarite is turned off. I assume the transfo on the top left could be the issue. All wires are correct, the 240v jumper installed on 2 and 3. Another mystery.
