Does anyone know what this is in the middle of the spa floor? It doesn’t have a finish piece on it

An umbrella pole holder?? What is in it?
Nothing really in it except a little water. We didn’t ask for any umbrella holders. I don’t want to fill the spa until I know what it is, but the pool just finished!

Or maybe it isn’t a big deal and I should just fill it, I’m not sure ?

Ok I used a scrub brush and got it off I think!!
I was told to wait until startup on Monday to use any equipment or start brushing and they are apparently supplying the brush. I am getting confused but hopefully nothing else happens before startup ?

Ok so the startup guy is here! I asked what he’s done so far and he has started up the equipment, put chlorine tabs in the skimmers just to start even though we have a salt water system, added muriatic acid, baking soda, and shock.

He’s going to be back two more mondays to keep things up and then we will start doing our own. On the third Monday we get a more in depth description of the equipment (pool school).

It’s so cool to see the water moving and waterfall going!! ????

You tease with these words but don;t share pics???? I wanna see pics!!! PLEASE????

Just for future reference........even though you have a SWG you will want to keep liquid chlorine on hand. It is the best way to quickly get the FC up. There will be many reasons you will want an quick dose of FC....potty accidents, animals, lots of people in the pool, etc.

Haha I know I know once he leaves I’ll get some pictures! It’s supposed to rain for a couple weeks so they say, so I’m glad he made it out today.

And that’s good to know about the chlorine! I need to get acquainted with the local pool stores so I can find the best prices etc.

Thanks!!

Also the pool guy is putting stickers on all the pipes with arrows and labels. I’m going to take a picture when he’s done in case they come off, but that’s looking to be quite helpful ??

I would take and print out that pic. THEN when you learn how to turn the valves for everthing take pics of that as well with it labeled "waterfall" or "cleaning" or "spa only" ,etc. That way you will know how the valves should look for everything!

So I just brushed it for the first time what a workout lol. I’m glad it’s only spring!

After the pool guy left the pump turned off. Pb said maybe he put it on a timer. I guess we will wait and see?

Also, after further investigation our waterfall hits the lip below and shoots straight out. Pb said that is normal and they can fix it. Hopefully they are right!

Alright now they are planning to come back tomorrow to get the pump back on. I was told to press the #1 button and get the pump on which worked but the waterfall didn’t start. I wish I knew how to do it myself but guess I can wait for them another day. Was just looking forward to things circulating ?? ah well.
