Welcome. Just FYI - I nibbled around the edges of this site for several years, mostly lurking/reading articles/past forum items. Have only been actively engaged for the past year, after taking the plunge into an equipment upgrade. The advice here has always been spot on, helpful, and generally avoids getting overly complex (unless it must happen due to a particularly knotty issue).
Some general things to help in the future, if you have questions:
After logging in, go to "Settings", "Signature" and list out basic info about your pool - construction, size, type of pump(s), filter brand/model, other equipment, how you chlorinate, what test items you have and similar. See other posts for examples. Helps others to more easily recommend a specific solution for any questions.
Get one of the recommended test kits:

Avoid pool store testing. Avoid buying almost anything chemical at a pool store - unless it is liquid Cl at a good price, or has specifically been recommended here, for you!
Not using the recommended test kit will get you very limited answers here, as it is the common baseline used (and most consistently accurate).
Consider installing the Pool Math app on your phone, for the dosage calculations, and (in the paid version) the logging/posting of logs to this site.
Yep, can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it won't be long to absorb the basics, and then you'll wonder why you paid so much to others for so long (I certainly learned that lesson after decades of pool owing!).
