Hello from the sweltering heat of Texas! Just got through a 3 day stretch of 100+ degree temps. The pool feels like a hot tub now but I'm working on that. Looking to find the best/cheapest way to maintain a crystal clear well balanced pool. I've poked around a bit already on the site and have found some excellent information!

So I'm guessing after reading this that the "Premium Test Kit" that the pool supplier gave me that only measures Ph and Chlorine isn't going to cut it...

That is correct. Get yourself a good test kit like the TF100 or K2006C. Once you get it post up your results and watch all the help you could ever need magically appear on here. These guys won’t steer you wrong. Most importantly, STAY OUT OF POOL STORES AND STAY AWAY FROM THEIR TESTING.
