Hello - I've been following the TFP methods for the past three years with great success but my pool is giving me a real hard time this year. The year started out great but then we had about a month solid of rain and temp swings (60s to 90s back and forth) and I got a little lax with the chemicals, had some minor algae growth (not a full bloom) so I started to SLAM and have been SLAMing for about three weeks straight now.
I have no more visible algae growth and the pool has cleared up considerably but the water is still not what I would call "clear". Even having a sand filter, I know it can be much clearer than it is now. I do add a small amount of DE to assist the sand.
I found some algae hiding on thermometers (removed those) and on the rubber feet for the ladder (cleaned those) but I wasn't able to find algae hiding anywhere else, so I am kind of at a loss at this point. Any other tips or things I could be missing?
