I’m watching the neighbors house and dog for a week and thought I’d test their pool chemistry just to see where it is. It’s an older pool non-SWCG pool and they use a pool service to maintain it. I’ve been taking care of our own SWCG pool for about a year and half and so far so good. Anyways their numbers were as follows
FC 1.5
PH 7.5
Alk 140
CH 550 (not too surprised since we have hard water here
CYA >100
I notice they also have one of those puck dispensers floating in the pool so I’m guessing that is what the pool service is using and I guess why the CYA is so high.
So ALk is way high and so is the cya. FC is low.
Should I mention this to them?
