Need vacuum hookup help for intex without skimmer. Picture and backstory inside.

Yes i shut both plunger valves, unhook the inlet hose, get vacuum hose full and siphoning and hooked up, empty the air from canister and reopen the discharge plunger and turn on pump. not really a lot of water loss from hooking up the hose, but if your not careful the entire vacuum hose will just keep sliding out of the pool.

So when you hook this up, do you leave the inlet and return on. Do you leave pump on the filter setting. Please describe detail by detai. Way you turn off, back on, settings, etc
