Need to Replace Glass Mosaic Waterline Tile Due to Cracking

Hi. New infinity pool owner here; pool just completed with Stonescapes 11/26. Glass tile mosaic (Barcode-Haisen from NPT) put on waterline and outside waterfall edge. Currently trying to find a leak in pool, so pool has been partially drained and waterfall stopped, allowing us to see that the glass tile under the waterfall is fractured all over- 50-75% of tiles, I would say, has a “scratched” look to it. Pointed this out to the PB, who said this is how these tiles are supposed to be? Hard for me to believe this is normal. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Glass tile looks great but is a fragile material. There are many reasons glass tile can crack:

• Low-quality tiles
• Poor installation
• Thermal shocks
• Impacts

You can decide if you want to live with what you have or rip it all off and retile.
