Started opening pool but stopped slam process bc no one was available to check and adjust chlorine. So I'm starting over again but want some recommendations I have a taylor k2006c here are my results

Cya is a little under 30. Can still see black dot filled all the up
Ta 100
Ch 100
Ph 7.4
I'm assuming chlorine is 0 bc I haven't put any in for 2 days

My question before starting slam is the pool sides feel like sandpaper. Will this clear up after slam is complete or do I need to do something before slam?

Deal with the scale after you clear the pool.

Add 20 ppm CYA worth of stabilizer using the sock method. Assume you have 30 ppm CYA in the water for SLAM. Follow the SLAM Process

I'm still in yhe process of slam it seems to be taking longer than last year i started sunday and I believe I lost 2ppm over night last night I've used alot of gallons of liquid chlorine. What the longest it usually takes

As long as it takes. Very hard to predict. Depends on how often you are checking the FC and adding liquid chlorine, how much you are brushing, Is there any hidden algae in a light niche, stairs, skimmer, autofill, main drain covers, etc.

Wife has been checking every couple hrs and adding chlorine. We brush only once a day. We run vacuum robot daily he picks up a bunch of dead algae im.assuming. we will keep going I just didn't realize it would take this much liquid chlorine. I thinking it might of been cheaper to drain and refill

After I verify slam is complete and chlorine levels are out of slam range I'll do a complete set of test alto verify everything is within range. This buildup on the liner can be scrubbed off with elbow greese just looking for an easier option.
