Need some advice

First off I just wanna say thank you to everyone on this forum your help is greatly appreciated.

Alright so yesterday 6/12 I started cleaning up the pool. It was pretty green, couldn't see a few inches below the water level. I'm around 60 gallons of 10% in so far, cya converted to ammonia over the winter/spring. Chlorine is starting to hold somewhat. Retested cya and the reading I got today is actually a lot lower than what I tested before I started slamming, I'm guessing the murky green water skewed the results. PH might have been affected too because of the cloudy greenish water. Before slamming I adjusted the pH and it read 7.4 now JTS reading 7.0, bold yellow but it turns to a reddish hue after 20 seconds and eventually turns a dark purple. What could be causing this?

Here are my numbers:

PH: 7.0 initally then turns reddish after 15-20 seconds until dark purple a little while later
FC: 7.5 at the moment, it was at 35 since I though my cya was a lot higher. I'll be keeping FC at 13 which is shock level

CC: 2
TA: 120
Cya: 30

What could be throwing off my ph test?IMG_20190611_125632.jpgIMG_20190612_145157.jpg

Hi! You have a good start to clearing your pool! WELL DONE!

I think it is your FC levels that are messing with you pH test. With the pH showing that color I would let your FC drop to 9.5 so you can retest your pH. We don't want to cause any damage to your plaster just in case the pH is really that low.

If you had to add massive amounts of chlorine to counteract CYA bacteria/ammonia, that is the pH color you will have for awhile. I got the same thing on a 24k gallon pool I resurrected from bacteria/ammonia that took close to 50 gallons of chlorine. I put a few boxes of borax and did what I could to aerate the water. Eventually it will come back up. Get the rest of your parameters in order. Do you have a TF-100 test kit?
