I have an above ground vinyl pool. I recently had a bad algae bloom. I shocked the pool twice with Xtra blue bit didn't balance first cuz I didn't know how. The water is now nice and blue algae is dead but water is cloudy. Tried clarifier and didn't work. I have two stabilizer tablets in a floating thingy but when I test water free chlorine is 0 ppm but total chlorine is 5 ppm. Water still cloudy. What next?

Welcome to TFP! You appear to be using an old-school approach to try and remedy the algae, and here at TFP we find that doesn't work. Nor do those other products you've been adding which can actually can make things worse.

To kill algae, follow the SLAM Process. The key - it's a process of "maintaining" the proper FC level, not a periodic blast of chlorine. If you follow that page carefully it will work.

If you have questions let us know.
