Need Help increasing pH. I just built an aerator based on yours.

Hi everyone. Im new here.
Have pool for about 20 years but only now I want to get the correct chemistry

My pH wont raise. It is 5.8 for weeks.
I used pH+ (a lot) and it wont go up.
I buitl two aerators and now are already in use.

anything missing? my chlorine is fine but I cant measure TA yet. Will buy kit.

Welcome to TFP.

What do you use to chlorinate? If you use Trichlor pucks for chlorine then they are also adding acid which keeps your PH from rising.

What is your PH that you want to raise it?

i suspect you have been using pucks which has dropped your ph and ta excessively low
i would wait on proper test results
but i suspect you will need a lot of bicarb

And need to stop using the pucks and use liquid chlorine or a SWG.
