Good Afternoon All,

New pool owner and I am having a hard time identifying each valve/line in my pool system. The previous owners did not label the plumbing lines and what each valve is used for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Pictures are attached below,
Pool with 2 bubbler fountains & Raised Spa with spill over waterfall.

Thank you

Welcome to TFP.
Starting from the left side.
There is a pressure side cleaner. The left pipe goes directly to the pool where the cleaner plugs in.
The next pipe is an air blower that goes to the spa
The next is the suction side of the booster pump. That pipe is connected to your pool return underground. The pool must be in Pool Mode and the filter pump must be on for the booster pump to function properly

Then we get to the suction side of the pump with the 4 pipes
The left pipe is suction from the spa drain.
The middle valve is a 3-way valve that switches between Pool Mode and Spa mode
Then there is 2 suction lines which should be from each skimmer. Do you have 2 skimmers?
The valve between them balances the suction between from the 2 skimmers
The pipe to the right with a 2-way valve should be from the pool main drain. Use the valve to balance suction between the skimmers and the pool drain.

Now on to the return side with the 5 pipes
The left pipe is return to the spa jets
The middle valve is a 3-way valve that switches between Pool Mode and Spa mode
The next 3 pipes are returns to the bubblers and pool return jets. Each has a 2-way valve to control the flow to the pool. You would need to turn each one off independently (keep the others open) to determine which is a bubbler and which is the pool return.
The pipe to the far right is most likely a return to the spa for the spillover. Can not be sure but it does have a check valve on the line which indicates it most likely goes to the spa. There is no valve on that line so it may be difficult to determine or control the flow.
Let us know if you have any questions.

That was a very thorough explanation. I appreciate it

Would it be recommended to turn off both bubblers and keep only the pool return jets valve completely open?
I am constantly fighting with high PH
