Wrap Saran Wrap on the suction side pipes from where they come out of the ground to your pump and wrap your pump. If you have a suction leak the wrap will stop it. Then unwrap one section at a time until your find the leak area.

This might be a dumb observation, but soon after my pump shuts off, I close the suction and return valves. The water level holds in the pump basket vs. slowly lowering throughout the day. Does that just simply confirm I have a suction side leak, or is that telling for anything else? My equipment is slightly higher than the pool surface.

Thanks!

Closing your valves doesn’t tell you anything.

The leak you have is like taking your finger off the top of a straw. As long as no air can get into the straw, no water will come out. Closing the valve is like crimping the bottom of the straw. Take your finger off and no water will come out even though you have a big hole at the top.
