My K-2006 came in yesterday

Jul 9, 2017
26
Clayton, NC
Here are my first test results:

FC = 5.5
CC = 0.5
pH = 7.4
TA = 80
CYA = 45
CH = 200
Salt according to the test strip is about 3300

Our SWG has been down for the past two weeks (the pool is only 4 weeks installed), so we've had to supplement with bleach. Now that we have the replacement, we need to fine tune it to maintain the FC.

I have a some CYA that I'll be adding in the morning to get it up some.

Any suggestions from the experts?

Be sure to follow the Chlorine / CYA chart table for proper FC levels. Always aim for the Target. Test FC in the morning right before your SWCG starts for the day, that will be the low point of your FC for the day.

It appears you have a single speed pump. Depending on your electrical cost you may want to minimize your pump run time and run your SWCG at 100%. You would then adjust your pump run time to manage your FC.

Take care.

Good points. I'm going to error of the side of caution and aim a little high on the percentage, to make sure i don't have a significant drop. Plus we're in Raleigh NC where it's been 98+ and completely sunny the last few days and might hit 100 today. Obviously checking FC morning and evening each day until I feel like it is maintaining around 4.
