I have been maintaining our 1.5 year old pool for the past 9 months without any water chemistry issues checking the levels every single day with the Tf Pro test kit and adding liquid chlorine / acid every few days as needed or daily during peak summer heat here in Houston TX. Several weeks ago our one year old Hayward pool vacuum motor died and was in the shop for weeks. During that time I ran the pumps 24/7 around 2750 rpm to keep the water circulating well and brushed the walls 1-2 times a week. I started to notice some minor yellowing on the plaster walls around where the spa spills over into the pool. It brushes right off but seems to reappear several days later. We just got our vacuum back so I have been using that again with brushing as well. Should I do a SLAM? This would be the first time I have ever had to shock the pool so I’m new to this. Any other thoughts about what else to do? I turned off the pumps to try and get a picture of what it looks like but it’s kind of hard to see. I also attached the most recent levels from the past few days. Any tips or thoughts are appreciated.
