Heres the newest issue. In addition to the squealing like a pig noise (which my local Jandy warranty guy said is normal. Pump is showing its age! Hello, pump is 5 months old ) now the salt cell has no flow or check cell? WTF ?!?!?! Pump is only 5 months old!

This is getting ridiculous. When they installed my pool, the first pump was 4 years old..... YES, 4 YEARS!!!! It either sat at the distribution center or Jandy was sending out old stock. But when issues arose with that pump, they replaced it with my current one. Yep, same issues!!!

Am I over reacting here?

Yeah, your pump is noisier then it should be. What RPM is the pump running at?

Your cell looks like it has calcium scale on the middle plate. You may want to try cleaning the cell as described on page 13 - https://www.jandy.com/-/media/zodiac/global/downloads/h/h0613500.pdf?force=1

Them videos are a combination of 2000 and 3450 rpm.
Only The middle plate always gets a little calcium. It only gets it on the top, not on the sides of the plate. Ive cleaned it before

The pump can whine at 3450 rpm. It should be pretty quiet at 2000.

Only thing that sounded wrong to me is at high speed it sounded like something might be caught in the fan housing. Wouldn't hurt to take the housing off and see if there's any debris in it and make sure there's nothing around the back part of the pump that can get sucked in.

PS if you're still under warranty don't do it yourself or you can void the warranty on a Jandy pump. 4 months to be "showing it's age" is indeed ridiculous!

I sent Zodiac a email today and this is what they sent me back.

"I would reach out to your builder in regards to this. It is concerning that your filter has no pressure at 2200 RPMs. It would be reduced at that speed but that should still be some pressure registering on that gauge. This would usually indicate some fairly high backpressure somewhere. Continuing to run your motor like this can wear down the pump prematurely and you will start to see some early failings in the bearings. This could possibly account for the noise the motor is making at times. It is hard to say for sure. This backpressure is also likely the reason for the "No Flow" error on your chlorinator display."

Was just sent this.
"The TruClear does not have a flow switch. It uses a gas trap design. The pump speed only needs to be high enough to keep gasses from building up in the cell
Without a flow switch, In theory the unit wouldn’t know one way or the other if you have flow. At least to me. And it certainly wouldn’t tell your WiFi controller what it doesn’t know in the first place.

i don’t have any automation but I’ve read many instances where, while using various levels of it, certain parts of the equipment get overrided as a ‘slave’. The new unit takes over the functions that the pump/SWG used to handle by itself and then the pump/SWG show either no levels, or bogus warnings.
So it’s entirely possible the unit is working, but the display is wrong.

I would ask in the forum so the real pros can take a stab at it. Or the hundreds of folks who have your system and live it / know it blindfolded.

best of luck."

Last week pool company gave me a new cell to install. 2 days later I was getting no flow on screen.

Pool tech guy just left. He installed a new computer board in my power pack that is mounted on the wall. Thankfully when he was here he could see the cell was working, then it went to no flow, check cell. So we shall see if this fixes the problem.
