More evaporation this year in Massachusetts?

Can my fellow TFPers in Massachusetts share your pool water loss this year?

I am currently losing 1/4 in per day. Definitely more than last year. But based on what I read here, 1/4 in per day is not abnormal. Still want to check to see if you have experienced similar situation this season so far.

I can tell it is dry this year since my lawn has been quite yellow

The past few weeks have been excessive as far as heat and evaporation.

I find the lack of rain makes a big difference in the perceived evaporation. Past week or so has been dry and I needed to add water into the pool after quite a few weeks with no fill water needed.

With the weather we've had I'd say thats pretty normal and around where I am at too.

Upstate NY here with similar results.

I guess 95 degrees with no rain will do that!

Thanks my friends. Just feel the evaporation is even worse than 2 years ago when we had the worst drought season in decades.

The difference 2 years ago, was we didn’t have the heat like you guys do this year.
