Minimum depth for supply and return lines

I'm in the process of planning an onground pool install, the back side of the design will be exposed almost 36".

I have two options on where I'd like to locate the equipment pad, one right beside the house nearest to the electrical panel. This will have at least a 40' run of lines just to get to one side of the pool, likey 60' for each return.

The other is a 20' run total where a shed is already located, the only issue is that we've got 12"-16" max of earth before I hit a limestone shelf. Digging through limestone is not an option.

I'm located in south east Ontario, Canada we constantly get freezing temperatures in the winter.

What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Welcome to TFP.

A 40' - 60' level pipe run is not a problem. Water can be pumped efficiently. You would like your pipes below the frost line for your location.
