Mesh safety cover evaluation and ??

Pool cover and spring pics attached. I BELIEVE cover is about 12 years old.

1. When do you know the cover needs to be replaced from stretching? No holes, No seems broken. Had snow/ice I just removed before pic.
2. Do springs wear out? If I replaced the springs, which are clearly >50% compressed, would that change the shape of the cover?
3. Anyone have a good source/brand of good quality springs? Are they all the same? Or bite the bullet and get Merlin springs?

If it is not broken don't fix it.

Your cover looks fine to me.

+1. Wet covers are HEAVY and gonna sag. When your springs won't stay half compressed, then buy new ones.
