If it's calcium chloride do not pour it into the skimmer. Best to follow the package instructions....

Since calcium chloride generates a LOT of heat (which is why it is used to melt ice) when it dissolves I would predissolve it. When you broadcast it over the water it can fall on the liner and the generated heat would not be good. (Not so much an issue for plaster but I still don't recommend broadcasting.) Pouring it into the skimmer would be even worse, IMHO!
If you doubt the amount of heat just put some in a bucket of water and stir it with your hand! (Don't say I didn't tell you so when you are treating the burns! Well, perhaps that's a slight exaggerations--or is it?

Not an exaggeration. I remember how hot the outside of the bucket was!
To late I broadcast it !! I made sure it went into the center of the pool well distributed ....

I did. I brushed it for about 10 minutes so it would dissolve. Instructions on bottle said it was ok to broadcast it into the water then brush to make sure it was all dissolved.
Broadcasting is fine for a plaster or fiberglass pool but in the future I would pre dissolve it for a vinyl pool. Just my 2 cents.

Tonights water test is

Water is cloudy but I can see the bottom of the pool. Backwashed the filter tonight since my CYA reading seems to be stable so that might clear up the water. Backwash was NASTY !!
Will low TA and I believe high PH make water cloudy ?

No, neither low TA, nor high PH, nor the combination will make the water cloudy. Almost every time, it is algae, both living and dead, that makes the water cloudy.
My FC loss last night in this mornings test was 1ppm and CC was .5 . I shocked it once more tonight and will wait and see if backwashing the fiter helps clearing it at all and let the FC drop so I can get my PH balanced.
