I have a 2020 Triton PS Plus and the device for keeping the cord from twisting is not longer working. And with my cleaning staying in the pool (It cleans everyday at 5AM), the cord is getting "grungy". Amazon has the correct cord for $299. Anyone replaced their own cord?

Red,

The cord just plugs into the motor box...

It can be very simple to replace, or it can be impossible...

If water has not gotten into the connection, the cable will just pop right out of the motor box.

But, if water has gotten into the connection, the pins on the end of the cable can corrode themselves together.. I have found this is almost impossible to fix.. the connectors are in the bottom of a 4" deep 'hole' that is only about an inch wide.. It is impossible to get anything into the hole to fix the problem. To repair, you'd have to replace both the cable and the motor box.

That said, what choice do you have?? It is not working now.

I have given up on the Dolphin cleaners and have moved on the EVO.. A much better robot in my opinion...

Did you check the cable price at Marina Pool and Spa?

Thanks,

Jim R.

Red,

Any idea what the difference is between a Trinton PS and a PS 'Plus'???

The cable for the PS is less than $200 bucks, but I did not even see the cable for the 'Plus' model, when I looked at Marina's stock.

Every cable that I have ever seen for the Dolphin robots is either a 2-pin (no remote) or a 3-pin with remote. The same connector is use for both.

Thanks,

Jim R.

I have not checked with Marina Pool and Spa. It is "working" but it is missing a corner because the cord is twisted short.

The "plus" has the control box that allows you to program daily or weekly cleaning. It is the same cleaner as Dolphin S300i, with a different color scheme (orange and black). And was cheaper...

Red,

Try this link..

Thanks,
