I just went to see her and she said they did a CT scan and found no tumors at all in her brain although she has some blockage in some vessels. The one neurosurgeon says that even though there is a blockage there are other vessels to get blood to her brain. They are waiting for chest and stomach scans to come back. They also said they will figure out why she's been having so many head aches before she leaves.
They are also flushing her to get the depicote down and may send her home soon with an IV bag to continue to flush her system. She's had some pretty good doctors to come see her so far. Let's pray they know what they're doing and she can move on with her life!
Thank You God! It just keeps sounding better every time I hear something! I will continue to ask that you take care of her Dear Lord! :king:
Casey, I'm so glad to hear this news!! I know these have been stressful days. I'm still praying for a complete resolution of symptoms and for the right doctors to treat her. I know you are all relieved with this news. Hopefully the headaches will abate once the Depakote is out of her system, and they'll find a better med for her. Continuing to send prayers and thoughts!
What a wonderful news Casey. I'm so glad for you and you family. When I read you last post of yours, you happiness just rubs of to me.
Please send her my best and tell her that atleast one little poolbuilder in Sweden think of her and pray for her fully recovery
Casey,
Just saw this thread.
I do hope and pray that the initial diagnosis was wrong. Vascular problems in the brain can definately cause headaches. But that sounds like a much better prognosis than CA. I will keep praying for her speedy recovery.
They let her come home today. I went to see her yesterday and she had a pretty big seizure. She couldn't remember me being there. They switched her meds and now she's waiting for the insurance to pick up the cost. Hopefully, she'll get it in a couple days. Her doctor gave her a few day supply.
I'm sure they're still running test and I hope and pray they do not find cancer. I am still a bit miffed that they would call her and say, you have brain cancer, get here asap! :x She thinks they said that so she'd get there faster. It just doesn't make sense to us though! The doctor had us all in tears over it and they told her while home alone with two kids!
She's at home resting and we'll continue to pray for a speedy recovery. I'll tell her that all of you wish her the best and are praying for her! Thank you all! :-D
