Maximum Flow for Jandy AquaPure 1400 SWG

I was reading some other threads on SWG performance and there was a discussion on the maximum flow rate through a SWG should not exceed 80gpm. I think this was for Pentair or CircuPool systems.

I am about to purchase a Jandy AquaPure 1400 because it will link easily to my iAquaLink automation, even though the output of the Jandy is only 1.25lbs per day which is low when compared to similar models of Pentair and CircuPool. I feel this is the best solution for my situation.

I have read the manual online and there is no reference to maximum flowrate. I want to know if I need to build in a bypass when I mount the Jandy SWG. I have a Pentair VSF Pump but it only operates in Speed mode under Jandy iAquaLink system, so I have no way to know my current flowrates at various speeds I am running. My concern is when I run the booster pump I ramp up the VSP to 2750rpm.
My pump is at same level of pool and about 30 linear feet on suction. I do have heater but it does NOT have a plumbed bypass.

Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

Hi @HermanTX . We have discussed AquaPure before. Mine was obviously old (maybe as old as the pool, 2004?) when we moved in, but not working: fried sensor (wiring). Been running fine for 2 years with new one.

Added a flow meter before switching from single-speed to Intelliflo VSP last month. The old pump was pushing over 100 gpm including the AquaPure!

So at least 2 and up to 18 years of big flow. Looks like answer to your question is "no worries."

Fwiw, to get the same flow with VSP needs 3150 rpm. I use 3100 when the deck jets are on for the grandchildren :) Otherwise 1800 (55 gpm) with bursts at 2500 (80 gpm) for cleaning. Will probably go lower as I gain experience.
