Mastertemp 400 Burner Problem

I have gotten a few with this problem and it tuned out to be an igniter. While it still worked, it failed to give flame rectification, and would shut the heater down after a few seconds.

I may have the same issue. AGS light comes on and heat shuts off after 15 or 20 seconds. Shorting out the AGS wires doesn't clear the AGS light. Found a mouse had chewed on one of the ignitor wire covering (but no the wire itself) and continuity was not zero. Hope thats the cause and not the board.

Show a better pic of the igniters' grey area. May be able to tell if it has a crack.

If that is a resistance reading for the ignitor ohms, it is way too low. It should be reading approximately 40-90 ohms.

Just to follow up, replacing the ignitor did not fix the issue (AGS light still lit and heater would shut off after 20 seconds). I then replaced the circuit board which resolved the issue.
