I have tried to find a solution to this issue but have not found it. Maybe I am just not following the correct procedure.

Scenario- (I came back to this after a week of vacation)
I have to power on the heater via the circuit breaker, since the On/Off switch does not perform this function. When the heater turns on it goes through the proper sequence to show the ROM code and then shows the temp. After about 10 seconds, it throws the AD0 on the display. Pressing On/Off does nothing.

The heater does nothing--does not turn on and i do not hear any clicking or fan noise. The Service and Pool LEDs are lit, but I cannot switch to Spa nor turn On or OFF via touch panel. If I power off the heater via circuit breaker it repeats only what I have walked through above.

Thanks for your hints and help.

Yes, tried this and no-go. The on/off button does nothing regardless of key press time. Starting to suspect the controller, but would like to figure out for sure before I spend money.

Sounds like possibly a bad key pad. AD0 relates back to a setting for the the type stack flu sensor you have. That is usually set via holding down a key on the keypad. So if that AD0 keeps coming up, it would make sense that the keypad is bad.
