Good day

I have an E01/126 fault on my master temp 400. I measured the resistance across the thermistor terminals with wires unplugged and it read 8k ohms, I had ordered a new one and tried anyways and the same issue persists.
I removed the brown wires from the control board that attach to the thermistor and ohmed them out to ones removed from the thermistor and both tested good.
Should the thermistor LED on the control board light up temporarily as the other ones do?
I'm suspecting the control board is the issue but want to see if anything else before dropping the $450 on it just to have missed something.

Welcome to TFP.

A resistance of 8K would read a temperature of 86F.

For a test replace the thermistor with a 10K resistor.

If the heater runs and the temperature stays at 76F then it rules out a bad board.
