Oddball question I know... I've witnessed lots of maker-style creativity in the TFP community. Wondering if anyone has given thought to attempting a full pressure side cleaner print out of PETG or something like that. Coopt Polaris bearings, tires, and some other details. Hose, too, of course. But the metal parts and nearly all plastics should be not too hard to make. I think it would cost about $30 for filament. The 3d model would be quite a bit of work, but certainly doable.

You can tell I'm considering retirement over the next few months:)

Clearly any robot or vacuum is a candidate for 3D printing. There are numerous foreign companies selling replacement parts on Amazon and other sites so that is challenging the costs of 3D printing. Ideally if access to CAD drawings would be easiest to convert to model for 3d printing. But you are most likely aware of all of this.
