I remember watching old reruns of the original on the local UHF channel growing up (yes, we had one TV with a mechanical 13 channel dial on it and a smaller dial to tune in the UHF channels. All via an aerial antenna on the roof with a signal boost amplifier made up of hot-to-the-touch VACUUM TUBES!)

Yup. Black-n-white tv, with rabbit ears.
Remember when the first cable box came around? The one with the push buttons and the rotary dial? You would fiddle with that dial trying to tune in the scrambled pay channels. Ahh, good times.
