Main Drain/Skimmer when SLAM

I'm about to SLAM our pool due to cloudy water and algae. What is the recommended position for the main drains/skimmer valve during the SLAM? Thanks.

The bulk (90+%) of the flow should come through the skimmer so you get efficient skimming.

Thanks mknauss. That's how I set the valve during normal pool operation. I thought during a SLAM it might be better to have the bulk of the flow through the main drains or at least equal between main & skimmers.

Does not really matter. Just be sure you are skimming the surface efficiently.
