I have read where it is recommended to use food grade silicone.
Can it be in a dry lubricant format?

really? ive read about needing food grade. dont know the reason. does using regular silicone leave a residue on the water from the splatter?I use spray silicone on my autocover's ropes & pulleys. Never heard anything about "food grade".
The Master," starring Joaquin Phoenix, and Amy AdamsThinking more about it, I would use food grade since it could spray into the water which can be ingested. That's the purpose it's for. Name the movie: "My master made me for a purpose."
them and walmart have it. just have to get to the store this week and grab some. do you spray just the rope and the pullies? or do you spray down the channel the cover slides in more than just the ropeRegular may have a few additives, that would be bad to eat. "Food Grade" is more resistant to wearing off, no bad things (although for a pool I doubt that matters) and stands up better to temperature extremes. So would tend to last longer before reapplication.
Ace hardware sells it in spray cans, for about $17.
i had to google it. what movie are you refering toIncorrecto. Unless that line is in two movies.
I have not seen that. that would explain why I didnt knowIRobot
