I'm trying to determine the best course of action for lowering my TA, or if I even need to worry about it.

~20,000 gallon vinyl pool with iChlor 30 SWG
TF-100 results
FC - 5
CC - 0
pH - 7.2 - 7.5
TA - 100
CYA - 70
CH - 250

This is my first pool, as we just bought this place in fall of last year here in FL. So, I've only been balancing it a few months last year before closing it and then opening it recently. I've consistently had issues trying to get the TA down, even with multiple cycles of using muriatic acid and then aerating. I know that for a SWG it would be better to have a lower TA. But, it seems that my fill water is around pH 7.2 - 7.5 and TA 150 (light pink) - 160 (bright pink). I don't have any scale in the SWG cell, and CH has been pretty steady at 250. Should I lower pH with muriatic acid and then bring it back up with borax, continue with just acid and aerating, or don't even bother since I'm not seeing any scaling? I do have to refill frequently, so the TA will tend to go up every time I fill.

Hi and welcome to your first post at TFP!

Yeah the Florida sun will cause quite some evaporation that is for sure! With your high TA fill water it will be a never ending cycle. Just keep trying and get it down as much as you can as often as you can. Use Pool Math as see here: PoolMath to see what your CSI is. Read the info on that to see what would be best for a vinyl pool.
