Low Hung Polynesian Pool

Found old threads related to this topic and have the same issue. Wondering what those who were posting eventually did. I am third owner of house with this pool which had a leaking issue. Had liner replaced by the original installer in 2016 who was semi-retired and now fully retired. Discovered the low hung liner track was leaking at the steps leading down to the bottom of the pool track where the liner attached to a track which is broken at the bottom step and another area at the deep end where the track is broken at the bottom of the fiberglass panel. The liner ripped near where the track is missing in the fiberglass wall. Four years ago the largest pool company in the area said they could change the pool to a high hung liner but subsequently will not because they were not satisfied with a previous conversion job they did or offer any options. No other companies in area will tackle this or offer options. Mine is a 25000 gallon kidney shaped pool 40 feet long and 25 feet at its widest area.
One person mentioned he had the pool converted using gunite. Did this option work? Is there a way to retofit a coping track onto/into the concrete deck around the pool to attach a new liner to it?

Welcome to TFP.

Pics showing where your liner is hung now and pics showing your coping and where you want to move the liner track to may get some ideas flowing among members.

What is the bottom of your pool under the liner?

Sounds like your pool may have been a hybrid pool at one time - Hybrid Pools - Further Reading

I had a Polynesian Pools concrete-acrylic pool for 20 years. The fiberglass panels were blistering and leaking at the seams. Tried to get someone to install a liner but nobody would go for the job (this was pre-pandemic). Finally found a small local independent pool renovation guy to install gunite walls over the fiberglass and this has worked out fine. Cost me a little over $25,000 but you're probably looking at more than this now. See post #79 in this thread:
