I've been noticing a small pile of what I thought was dirt accumulating in the corner of the pool a few days after I brush. I took a closer look the last couple weeks, and there's definitely pebbles from the pebble tec in there. This has been occurring for a while...not sure how long exactly. The pool was built in 2016. I've followed TFP testing guidelines since then. I doubt it's normal for a 5 five year old pool to be shedding that many pebbles. What could be causing this?
Here's my test results:
FC: 5.0
CC: 0.0
PH: 7.7
TA: 60
CH: 725
CYA: 50
Temp: 76
CSI: 0.18

I use liquid chlorine. Since my CH is getting high, I tend to add MA a couple times a week (14 oz each time) to keep the CSI down. I never bring my PH below 7.2...usually only down to about 7.4. Then let it drift back up. TA is pretty consistent at 60

Do you add the MA in the area that the pebbles are found?

Have you looked at the walls in that area to note if they're all from one spot or are they from scattered areas around the walls?

Does one of your floor cleaner spouts shoot out of order and is hitting one area of wall that is causing the pebble to loosen?

That's all I can imagine.... I hope someone wiser will have a better idea?

Thanks for the response. The area where the pebbles accumulate seems to be a dead zone in the cleaning system. That's where I tend to see any debris before it's eventually flushed down the main drain. I don't add MA there.

I haven't noticed any large spots of pebbles missing. There are a few small divots in the plaster in various locations. They're only noticeable if I feel for them with my hands. They're difficult to see, and I don't know how long they've been there. They could have been there since install as far as I know.
