Looks like I need a new SWG

There is no after the cell requirement. IIRC correctly my last one 90'd right into the ground.

So a good OCLT and zero CC means I'm calling the SLAM done. What is the wind down procedure ? I have plumbed the new SWG (IC40) and need to wire it in today, but do I wait until FC has fallen to ~5 before turning it on ? I know ph testing is not valid until FC falls below 10, so when do I do a full panel of tests and start adjusting ?

Thanks all...

So the salt cell is installed and operational. How do I connect my Power Center to my Easytouch ? I don't have the SWG board (hence the power center) but if I make the 485 connection can I control the Salt Cell from the Easy Touch panel / remote ?

C,

Your Power Center needs to be connected to your EasyTouch two ways..

1. The AC power to the Power Center MUST come from the load side of the Pump/Filter relay. This prevents the cell from blowing up if the flow switch fails.

2. The Surge card inside the Power Center has a 4 pin RS-485 com port.. This com port should be connected to the RS-485 com port in your EasyTouch (J20).. You will need your own 4-wire cable to do this... I'd use 18 AWG wire.. Connecting the RS-485 will allow the cell to report the salt level to the EasyTouch, and allow you to control the cell's output % remotely.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Also, I connected it to the load side on the same terminals the previous Breeze SWG was connected. All seems to be running good.

I will do that.

I have wired in the IC40 communication to the J20 port but there were other wires landed there. I can control the salt cell perfectly through the controls on the EasyTouch panel. However, I did not double up the wires but replaced them, assuming it was just a water temp sensor, but my EasyTough remote no longer communicates. Can you double up the comm wires, or do I need another comm port to control the salt cell ?
