Looking to replace trips to pool store with accurate and easy home water testing - digital?

To balance our pool water we currently use 1) test strips, which are a bit hard to read and don't seem to be very accurate compared to 2) water quality testing at local pool store. To save time making trips to the pool store (nearly 1 hour round trip), we would like to get a digital sort of reader, something that is super easy to use and is accurate, but I'm not having any luck finding such a thing. It's not necessarily a $$ issue, but the reviews on digital readers both here and on Amazon are quite mixed and I don't want to spend 100's on something that doesn't really work well (who would?).

Anyone have a recommendation? Or is something like the Taylor system maybe not as complicated as it looks? Thanks for your inputs!

Without a doubt, order a TF-100. It's easy and reliable. Get the magnetic speed stir (smart stir) as well if you can. The Taylor K-2006C is a suitable kit as well, but I find the TF-100 to be a better value.

Taylor system is incredibly easy, especially with a speed stir or equivalent. All your doing is counting drops. Outside of professional lab grade equipment, that you may not be able to purchase as a consumer, your not going to find a "digital" solution as accurate and easy as the TF-100 or Taylor. And even that lab equipment is going to be harder to use, requiring frequent calibration/standardization. Just look at a digital pH tester, which requires the use of a standard to calibrate fairly frequently.
