I'm looking to purchase and install this RayPak pool heater: Pool Heater
Before I submit for the permit, I'd like to figure out the details.
It's about 125ft - 130ft run from the gas meter to the pool area. I will tap in at the meter and run the Propoly underground gas line for the 105,000 btu model. I live outside Chicago Illinois in about a ten year old new construction home. It uses Nicor gas with a regulator on it before coming into the home. I haven't called Nicor to verify, but a quick Google, seems to point at the pressure to be around 1/4 psig coming into the home.
With this information, what size diameter would I need? The installation guide table lists 3/4" for 99' and then goes to 1" for upto 350' but only for schedule 40 black iron pipe, and doesn't list for any other material.
Appreciate any help. Thank you.
