Looking for Feedback from Vinyl Pool Owners with S200/300 Style Robots

My next-door neighbor has a vinyl pool and wants a robot.. I told him to look at the Dolphin S200/300 series units, but my pool is gunite and I am now having second thoughts.

Anyone out there currently using a Dolphin to clean their vinyl pools.. He is worried about the robot not climbing up the wall.

I was curious about the same thing for a customer of mine, the maytronics rep said it would be no problem

Jim the robots propelle themselves up the wall, along with some suction. That’s how they’re able to breach the water surface to clean the waterline.

My Oasis Z5 climbs the walls and travels sidewalls for a certain distance. Then stops and scales down the wall and starts cleaning the floor. I seen my cleaner on other parts of the pool walls cleaning it as advertised.

My Dolphin M400 climbs the walls just fine. I've had it 2 years and just had to replace the climbing foam rings this season (year 3).

Our liner pool has a 10 ft deep end so the sidewalls are relatively tall. The slope from shallow to deep end is also pretty steep. Our S200 has no problem at all with either.

Active20...my kids love watching this thing...their favorite part is when it is scrubbing the waterline because they can touch it...no issues at all, climbs anything in its path so far
