Long time TFP member, thinking about switching to a SWG this spring

My water is always crystal clear and perfect thanks to all the knowledge I've acquired from TFP! The only chemical I use is liquid chlorine but even that is a bit of a pain sometimes so I'm considering switching to a SWG.

I've read many of the posts on here, and it sounds like Circupool is the most recommended brand so that's what I'm leaning towards at this point, but I can't seem to find the differences between the different models. I have a 23,000 gal in-ground vinyl pool. What are the differences between the SJ, RJ, EDGE, and CORE models? Which model would you recommend for my pool?

Thanks!
Jeff

Jeff,

I think you should "Spring" for it... :)

In my opinion, the SJ requires you to have too high of a salt level, 3500 or over..

The RJ requires salt levels between 2800 and 4500... This is the one that a lot of our members have. The RJ60 plus puts out the most chlorine, and is the one that I would go with if I did not have Pentair automation..

The Edge and Core are some of their newer products.. so not much history...

The Core Appears to have all the electronics, flow switch, and cell all in one package so you don't need a box on the wall.. But you need some place close to the equipment pad to plug it in to AC power..

At a minimum, you need a 40K cell and I would go with something bigger..

Here is a link.. Compare and Review Saltwater Chlorine Generator Prices and Features

Thanks,

Jim R.
