I had to rep[lace my pool motor and ordered a 1hp to replace a 1/2 hp. I did not replace the impeller or diffuser and the motor seems to be pulsating. Now I'm looking for them but can't locate a diffuser with the same 5 screw mount that will accommodate the updated impeller. looking on Amazon, Ebay. Any suggestions? And why are the prices such a wide range?

Prices are a wide range because the quality and place of manufacture of motors differs and not all motors, even of the same apparent horsepower rating are the same.
