You need to replace the valve.So if there were a way to plumb it the other way around could that work? Not saying I will, but I'm wanting to make sure I know all of the options. Thanks again

What is the normal pressure?The suction seems better but still only about 12 psi tank pressure.
Do you plug the line directly into the skimmer hole with no filter?low suction. Not enough to drive pool cleaner (I have a Zodiac MX6 In-Ground Suction Side Pool Cleaner)
Filter balls are no good, in my opinion.emptied old sand and cleaned inside of filter tank and replaced with filter balls
That's correct.I assumed the higher port was from the pump and the lower the return.
That does not confirm no blockage.used a hose and back washed the suction side pipes to make sure there was no blockage
