Little cloudy

Hello all,
So my pool is a little cloudy after getting rid of a small yellow algae problem. Numbers are as follows:
FC 5.4
pH 7.6
TA 80
Salt 3200

Define a little cloudy...no don't. Any cloudy is probably algae! So don't guess... test! (that is my new mantra) Raise your FC a bit and do a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.. and see if you are getting a significant amount of Cl demand at night.. if so then a SLAM Process is in order.

I agree. I suspect the SLAM Process wasn't totally completed up to where all 3 criteria passed. But do an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to confirm or simply go right back to the SLAM FC level and pick-up where you left off. You didn't post your CYA, so next time provide that as well. Remember when doing an OCLT the SWG must be off.

CYA was 70
I did the Overnight test and the difference was .6
5.4 to 4.8

It's good you passed an OCLT, but remember that's only one of the SLAM criteria. Generally we don't even consider doing an OCLT unless the water is already crystal clear to the bottom. With a CYA of 70, your FC should be 28 (see FC/CYA Levels), so I'd continue with the SLAM Process until you achieve that crystal clear water, then verify the CC is less than .5 and run another Overnight Chlorine Loss Test.
